Krakow, Poland

Im happy to present you with the beauty of Krakow, Poland.

I'm flyin' solo.

Wednesday, June 17, 2009 | |

So far I've been to Stockholm and Copenhagen. (I was with Rachel Bain for those two adventures)

Stockholm was cold, and rainy. Copenhagen was windy but warm and sunny.

I'm in Poland now. I like it here. It kind of reminds me of the U.S. in some way. I don't really know why but it does. The countryside is beautiful. Driving through it is like a little journey to the past. There was a woman in a babushka riding down the road on the side of a man's tractor today.

I've gotten sick on my trip and acquired a wonderful cold. Last night I walked around, went to the Main Market Square in Krakow and ate a nice dinner.
I thought that the time was an hour ahead of Denmark so i set my clock forward. Come to find out, it's the same time. So lastnight, I went to bed at 9:30pm and this morning woke up at 6:00am.

I just got back Aushwizt, wow. It's hard to really wrap your head around it.
I just stole a piece of bread and tomato from the hostel fridge.. I think it's allowed. I ate a tomato sandwich in my hostel room. I think i might take a small nap then head over to the Weegee exhibit at National Museum in Kraków. Professor Kieth Greenwood taught me all about him in History Of American Journalism last semester. So, it should be good.

Afterwards I think i'll go sit in the park and read, then I'm going to meet up with some American kids I met from this mornings tour.

I'm on my way to Copenhagen...(the bus has wifi) weird. The boat was my hostel in Stockholm. I flew from Paris to Sweden.

I'm hoping for the sun.. because I'm SICK of the rain.

Yesterday I went to Giverny and saw Claude MOnet's Jardins and House. It was wonderful. FIrst of all... it was the first warm and sunny day in Paris in about a week and a half. Secondly, It was just full of beautiful flowers.

Here are some pictures.
